DATA ENTRY SPECIALIST

The Data Entry Specialist will work closely with Associates, Sr. Associates and Management within the department on client projects focused on financial data from bank reconciliations, financial and accounting reports in Excel or Access databases.  Successful applicants will possess previous data entry and database maintenance experience and be capable of working in a busy, professional but fun environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry requiring some technical knowledge
  • Analytical review of data in company's database
    • Maintain applications in database:
    • Review entered data, maintain data for critical fields
  • Recognize and reconcile discrepancies
  • Interfacing with team-members, management and possibly clients
  • Problem-resolution
  • Special projects as needed
  • Other administrative functions as necessary

 

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of solid numeric Data Entry experience including 10-key touch
  • Associates degree preferred (Accounting, Business, Economics, and Finance majors preferred) 
  • Must have experience with financial documents such as bank statements, GLs, tax returns, etc
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Access is preferred
  • Must possess knowledge of accounting and financial terminology
  • Must be able to type at least 50WPM
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with others
  • Must be well organized with the ability to complete work efficiently, speedily and have impeccable attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to multi-task between several projects in a deadline driven environment
  • Must be a team player with a good sense of humor
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
