
SENIOR ASSOCIATE A Senior Associate is responsible for gathering and analyzing financial and other information related to an audit. A Senior Associate drafts audit related document requests based on the information reviewed and assists the Audit Manager with the day-to-day tasks of each audit. As a member of the audit engagement team, a Senior Associate participates in audit related meetings and conference calls and, in some cases, is responsible for direct contact with the company under audit. A Senior Associate will assist in preparing audit deliverables for the company under audit, as well as, Kelmar Associates’ clients. A Senior Associate is responsible for delegating assignments to Associates and Data Entry Specialists. A Senior Associate must ensure the accuracy and quality of all delegated assignments. A Senior Associate must review audit status reports on a bi-weekly basis and possess the ability to present, both verbally and in writing, the progress on an audit to the engagement team and Firm principals. Additionally, a Senior Associate is responsible for the development of Associates with respect to audit processes and firm policies. The ideal candidate is a very detail-oriented individual that possesses strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, the ability to work within a team environment, and the ability to delegate audit related tasks. A Senior Associate candidate would possess a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of accounting work experience, project management experience, and a proficient level of Excel knowledge. The position requires some travel. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. |
