FLORIDA: House Bill 939. Introduced legislation prohibits a person from filing a false claims action based upon allegations or transactions arising from, or to enforce, the Florida Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act.

Summary of Legislation — Week Ending December 15, 2023

PENNSYLVANIA: Senate Bill 24. Amended legislation decreases to $100 the value of the property the Treasurer may pay to a person, regardless of whether a claim was filed, if the person was reported as the sole owner of the property.

Summary of Legislation — Week Ending December 8, 2023

WISCONSIN: Assembly Bill 742. Introduced legislation defines a financial organization loyalty card and exempts any associated funds from reporting under the Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act.  The expired voluntary disclosure program is reinstated and made permanent.
